About the plants you add to your office
- The majority of plants used inside are tropical and prefer
temperatures between 55 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Anywhere
within this range is acceptable unless you are trying to get a
particular result (i.e. flowers)
- Because our days are short and cool in the winter, larger plants
are rarely grown here in the northwest and are flown or trucked in
from nurseries in California, Florida, Hawaii and Texas. These parts
of the country require little additional heat and light to get tropical
plants to grow quickly.
- Different plants have different care requirements (and by this we
mean even two plants of the same variety sitting side by side). This
can make the maintenance of plantings a very challenging endeavor
even with extensive training. Trying to do it yourself can have mixed
results.
- The types and number of plants available can vary depending on
weather conditions all across the country. If you have a need for a
large number of one item or extremely large plants, begin to source
early in your planning process.
